playArt have come out on top of the Brazilian qualifier for the IEM6 Global Challenge New York by defeating semXorah 2-0 in the final.
Eight teams had signed up for Sunday's Brazilian qualifier, which would qualify one team for the Global Challenge in New York. The qualifier did however not see the two top teams of the country in attendance, as both FireGamers and the former paiN team skipped this qualifier.
Allegedly the two top names decided not to play it, as they simply don't have the funding to travel to New York. It should then be playArt to win the qualifier, seeing off semXorah 16-12 on de_mirage and de_dust2 to claim the top spot.

With the victory playArt booked a spot for the IEM6 Global Challenge New York, but it is however currently not known if the team will be able to attend.
According to the information HLTV.org has received, the sponsors of playArt will only provide financial support for accommodation, meaning playArt's attendance is very much in question at the moment.
